Kim Bass has an A.A.S. from The University of Akron and a B.S. in Legal Studies from Lake Erie College. She received her M.S. in Vocational Rehabilitation with a focus on Deafness from the University of Arkansas.

Ms. Bass has her National Interpreter Certification (NIC) from the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID). She has been working with and interpreting for the deaf for over 30 years in a variety of capacities including: school systems, colleges, community agencies – which included educational, medical, dental, legal, vocational job trainings and interviews.

Ms. Bass teaches American Sign Language at The University of Akron and Kent State University. She also works part time as a video relay interpreter for Sorenson Communications and tutors’ individuals and families in American Sign Language.

Kim started working for Signing Time in 2010. She is Certified Master Level Instructor. She also provides sign classes for children, training for childcare centers and presents on the benefits of teaching sign language to children.
