Adult Precision Machining Class Scholarship
CNC Machining is an innovative, in-demand program designed to prepare the student for an entry-level position as a machinist. The course will cover workplace and machine operation safety, tooling, set-up, manual operation of lathes, mill machine, saw, CNC programming and operation, blueprint reading, measurement reading, use of calipers, micrometers, grinding, and hand finishing of metals.
Maplewood Career Center is partnering with the Lozick Foundation to promote Precision Machining in Portage County and surrounding areas.
The Lozick Foundation is supporting 10 seats in our adult Precision Machining class, which will begin February 2023, every Monday and Wednesday from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. What does this mean? The Lozick Foundation is offering 10 scholarships to adults to take Precision Machining at Maplewood Career Center, which includes half off tuition and a free toolkit and tools. The cost for this class is $675.00 for 18 weeks.
