Maplewood Career Center’s Adult Education Department offers Pell eligibility for Welding Technologies.  This 36-week course/612 hour program allows you to earn up to 3 welding certifications.  Federal Pell Grants are financial aid for college that does not need to be repaid, based on financial need.

Tuition Policies for Veterans and Military Service Members: Maplewood Career Center’s Adult Education Department  supports individuals previously in the military or stepping into the military by providing the Aspire program.  This department has free services, which includes:  Adults the ability to upscale skills in reading, math, and language, to take the ASVAB or GED services.  Maplewood Career Center’s Adult Education Department welcomes all veterans/military service members and will help with post-secondary certifications and finding scholarships to pay tuition.

Funds may be available through county Departments of Job & Family Services to
eligible persons who may be receiving TANF benefits or fall below 200 percent of the poverty guidelines designated by the Federal government. The Department of Job & Family Services seeks to assist, train, and employ economically disadvantaged clients. Displaced homemakers and dislocated workers may be eligible for these funds. Workforce Investment Act Individualized Training Accounts

The federal Workforce Investment Act (WIA) provides federal funds to states for job training and employment services. The Department of Job & Family Services seeks to assist, train, and employ
